Students will create their own automated smart monitoring system to track the health of their plants through the use of circuitry and IOT. By creating a circuit with various sensors and creating an accompanying IOT setup, the students will be able to see all of the important data about their plants in an easy to understand format.

Creating Games with Amazon Alexa

Students learned about IoT and all of its applications in the real world. Students also explored the various commands of Alexa and how to make your home a smart home. They learned how to make a customized Alexa game using VoiceFlow.

Industrial IoT

This session was an informative workshop for UConn faculty, staff, and students interested in learning about the Internet of Things. The discussion included an overview of the concept of Internet of Things, a presentation on current and future technology resources available at Gladstein Lab. This workshop was designed for those who may be new to this concept or experienced users who would like to learn more about the resources available in the Gladstein Lab.
